Scottie’s on the River is an upscale restaurant located right on the banks of the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga. AEED, Inc. partnered with River Street Architecture on this project and offered full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design services. The design of this space was an extension of the larger Spring Hill Suites project also completed by the AEED, Inc./River Street team.

The design included approximately 6,500 sq ft of restaurant space with a patio bar complete with open pass thru access to the indoor bar as well as an indoor/outdoor seating area with operable panel doors overlooking the river and riverwalk. Challenges included coordination and tie-ins with hotel services as well as HVAC design impacts due to an ever-changing indoor environment with the indoor/outdoor bar and seating spaces.
